Hi Sophie, this is a great blog, love it that your started a photo blog without a camera! :-) I'm an aussie currently living in Germany, ex of Sydney Uni and Newtown, really loved all these familiar images and memories. cheers bruce Ps, also didn't know what the uni motto meant until today!
It seems modern artists think that art, people enjoy to see, has already been created by ancient Greeks and Romans. Now they goal is to confuse and distract the watchers. Another possible explanation is - there were always more unsuccessful attempts than successful ones. So we have to watch "the contemporary art", some pieces of which become "classics" and others just disappear. And thank you for your blog I really enjoy!
I saw this but too but didn't have my camera with me at the time. I think it is a nice piece of artwork but the parking hassles at the terminal deter me from returning just for a shot of it. You were fortunate to get such good light for your photo.
Hi everyone! Welcome to Sophie's world! Well actually, not quite my *world*, but more like a little space where I can share some of my photos with you. Most of them taken with the help of someone else's camera (seeing that I do not have one of my own - yet!). They will mostly be photos from around Sydney, but once in a while I may include some from my holidays around Australia too. I hope you enjoy the sights, and maybe get inspired to come visit the land Down Under! You're more than welcome to leave a comment, and do come back and visit!

Hey Lish. Indeed, it struck me as very peculiar...

Is that supposed to look like the hills that termites build?
Very minimalist :-)
reminds me of a 2nd world war gun shell.
Together with the fence behind it, it looks almost Japanese to me.
